Instructions for using polyferric sulfate

When using polyferric sulfate, generally prepare a 10%-50% aqueous solution of liquid (it can be added directly when the source water has high turbidity), and a 10%-30% aqueous solution of solid polyferric sulfate. Then, add the prepared solution according to the optimal conditions and dosage, and after thorough stirring, the best coagulation effect can be obtained.

 

The dosage can be determined according to the different turbidities of the raw water. Generally, for turbid water (turbidity between 100-500 mg/L), use 30-50 kg of this product per 1000 tons. For non-potable, high-turbidity industrial wastewater, the dosage can be adjusted appropriately.

 

For industrial wastewater treatment, dilute grade I polyferric sulfate to a 1-2 times aqueous solution. When the source water concentration is high and the treatment volume is large, it can be added directly. Then, based on the results of laboratory simulation tests, add according to the optimal process conditions and dosage. After thorough stirring, coagulation, and sedimentation, clear effluent can be obtained.

 

Water treatment plants can also dilute it 2-5 times before addition. The dosage should be determined based on the properties of the raw water, through production debugging or beaker experiments to observe the formation of flocs. Water treatment plants can use the dosage of other chemicals they have previously used as a reference. Under the same conditions, the dosage of this product is roughly equivalent to that of solid polyaluminum chloride, and is 1/2 to 1/3 of that of solid aluminum sulfate. If a liquid product was previously used, the dosage can be calculated based on the corresponding reagent concentration, roughly at a weight ratio of 1:3.
